Dull UT
Robben Ford can pull some scary stuff out of the bag when he has to and the phrasing....... Cool .I'm not a fan of that style in particular but I wish I could play that dull and HJMs seriously got it nailed.Check out the Black dog clip-excellent Cool !

I didn't call HJM's playing dull!!! lol

I really enjoyed it, first time I've really heard him play. I just find Robben Ford a bit sleep inducing is all. Same as Eric Johnson, also capable of scariness but overall just a bit....well....dull Smile

Wow, nice stuff. I hear alot of Zakk Wylde licks in what I assume to be Tim. Right on.
Zakk's one of my biggest influences, even though I totally DON'T play like him.

Damn, found out Laughing

I love the full on style of players like Zakk and it also seemed a natural progression from the blues rock vibe of the track. What it does do is show the capabilities of The Mule when you step on the dirt and really dig in. I've played in an Ozzy tribute for the past 2 1/2 years and have always found it easier to lean towards the Wylde interpretations of the classic Rhoads and Lee material-he seems to inject so much fire into it-anyway I take out LPs on the gigs loaded with Miracle Man humbuckers but I'm using my Mule loaded Goldtop for alot of the show these days. The reward from a lower output set of pickups is a less compressed tone which = dynamics and a more natural, open sustain. You have to dig in a little more but all the chunk is there and the tone is HUGE Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool  Cool Laughing

Excellent playing and tone.
very crunchy, and articulated in the NECK.
great for LEADS.
I just miss some agressive Metal rhythm section on this soundclips. Q:)
but i liked the tone. very transparent on leads in both positions

That was VERY kewl, i think i'm gonna go for that in the neck, the nailbomb in the bridge, but no ideas yet of what i'm putting in the middle. Actually never heard better neck pickup tone, it was immense! nice playing you guys. i'm going to practice...

i hear what your saying on the whole "lower output = more dynamics", i really love playing a low output pickups but i find them a lot harder to play for the faster stuff so it's a trade off really depends what your after.
