This clip was played by Steve Stevens using his famous Charvel San Dimas guitar loaded with a VHII in the bridge straight into a 1970 100w Marshall Super Lead-no eq or compression, just a touch of reverb!

how is he doing the technique he does at 20s -> 23s? (it sounds like a modulation effect over a natural harmonic, but he is using no fx... so??)

anyhow, its damn awesome!

that's just amazing! It sounds like has been compressed and Eq'd even though it hasn't, really nice tone, sounds HUGE Crazy
